Want to get involved? We want to know about the menopause and you.
We will transform phrases from your submission into illustrated story panels and share these on our website alongside your full piece of writing.
If this is something you would like to be involved in please write a short piece, maximum 200 words about ‘the menopause and you’, in whatever format you like. This could be written as a personal account, anecdote, poem, letter or any other format you believe appropriate.
Please use these questions as inspiration:
- what does the menopause mean to you?
- do you know much about the menopause?
- do / did you feel prepared for your menopause?
- what is your relationship with menstruation?
- what does menopause mean in your culture? is it celebrated or shamed?
Of course, if you're uncomfortable with any of these questions then you don't have to answer them! Additionally, if there's anything else about the topic you'd like to discuss - go for it!
You may remain anonymous if you wish, otherwise we will only use your first name. Additionally, it is important to note we may extract and rephrase some parts of your submission if it over our word limit. However, we will never remove important information.
Please submit your story or questions to: normalisemenpause@gmail.com
Any story is valid! Regardless of whether you bleed or not.
