^ During this project we had no access to the workshops at our university due to COVID-19 restrictions. We used the photocopier and scanner to create abstract prints that formed the basis of our visuals.
^ Initial sketches when first developing our concept.
^ Paper prototypes for our story panels.
^ Some abstract prints created using the photocopier and scanner.
^ We used the company GoodEmpire to produce our boxes. But first, had to communicate our idea to a technician at our university.
^ Paper prototypes for our story panels.
^ We then designed our story cards and box templates file on Adobe Illustrator to be laser cut by GoodEmpire.
^ Our box template file.
^ Our 'studio' in the library.
^ One story panel designed in Adobe Photoshop and then Illustrator.
^ Whilst we waited for our boxes to be produced, we designed all of the information packs using Adobe Photoshop and InDesign. Here, we used some of the abstract prints we made on the photocopier.
^ Our collection of information packs slowly growing.
^ We collected our boxes and story cards from GoodEmpire.
^ We had to go back and make a few more information packs, here is us testing the 'remove the red' concept.
^ We taped together our boxes before gluing them and removing the protective plastic wrap.
^ We tested our experience on friends.
^ Admiring our laser cut pieces, we really loved how they came out.
^ Alternative ideas we explored.
^ Gluing together our boxes.
^ After a few testing sessions we packed the boxes ready to be sent off.
